A young girl, in outback Australia, finds an abandoned emu egg just as it is hatching. She names the newborn chick "Rascal" and he travels with her on her bike. As he grows, Rascal lives up to his name as he gets up to all sorts of mischief He eventually becomes a very responsible grown up emu. Suits girls and boys age 5 to 8 years old.
