The pastoral country in which Charleville is set is basically Mulga woodlands.
The Mulga tree is worthy of mention and investigation.
This remarkable tree is the backbone to our sheep and cattle grazing industries.
You can find much interesting information about this from the D.P.I., Natural Resources and Environment and Heritage Departments,
each of which have modern premises in Charleville. They can also provide you with guides to National Parks etc in S.W. Queensland.
